In January 2019 we watched God miraculously use people to provide the funds for Colegio JET. A school that we believed God had birthed in our hearts. A school where children would be able to receive a quality education. A school where children would receive daily breakfast and lunch. A school that would teach and show the love of Christ.
We stood in complete awe! It was a God thing!
When I was left speechless and in tears of His goodness, I can remember God saying, “Deidra, right now the faucet is full blast, however, will you still trust me when the faucet is only dripping? Right now you are dancing in the rain as I am pouring my blessings on you–But, will you trust me when there is a drought?”
As these questions continued to run through my mind, I knew there would be a time when the money would be very limited. There would be a time when we would have to trust God to provide. However, we never imagined there would be a time with no teams, no family, and no children on our mountain. Complete Silence!
For some reason when I begin to question God about things in my life, He always takes me to Job 38. (I am in no way comparing our situation to the tragedies of Job)
Then the Lord spoke:
“Where were you when I laid the earth’s foundation? Tell me, if you understand. Who marked off its dimensions? Surely you know! Who stretched a measuring line across it?
On what were its footings set, or who laid its cornerstone—while the morning stars sang together and all the angels[ shouted for joy?”
Then Job answered the Lord:
“I am unworthy—how can I reply to you? I put my hand over my mouth. I spoke once, but I have no answer—twice, but I will say no more.”
When we are dancing in the rain… When we are questioning the drought… We will TRUST Him Completely!
