“You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.” Matthew 5:14-16
We blessed 115 families today with “Bag Lunches”. The bags were filled with beans, rice, oil, butter, sugar, salt, nutrient drink, pasta, pancake mix, honey, and oatmeal. This food will last them approximately 2 weeks.
Many groups choose to eat at Las Antorches in Antigua on their day of relaxation. We have developed friendships with the owners, Felipe and Claudia, and the waiters. Obviously, they are not able to open to the public due to the restrictions and the 4:00 curfew. We delivered 15 food bags to the workers at Las Antorches. We told them of our prayers for them during this difficult time. Stimulus package and unemployment benefits are not in their vocabulary so they are fearful of the future. They are praying to have work soon.
We also blessed the workers on Finca Enon and a few other workers for neighbors of Grace with food bags. These bags consisted of basic beans and rice, but they were appreciative.
There were 140 bags filled with essentials passed out today. We are praying that God will multiply the food in each bag. We are praying the food bag is a reminder of God loves them and we love them.
From our neighbors on Grace Mountain to the families at the school to our friends in Antigua, we want to show the love of Christ.
Tomorrow, Pastor Walter and Pastor Adan will deliver delicious pies to the policeman, firefighters, Department of Health, and local mayor. We want them to know that Grace Ministries and SLAM are praying for our leaders who are on the front line.
Thank you for helping us be the light on the hill!
