Happy 80th Birthday to our maternal grandmother, Ann Clark! If you have the privilege of knowing her then you know she is a selfless, kind-hearted, family-centered, Christ-follower, sweet Maw-Maw. Our chidhood as preachers’ kids is unique because we grew up living right next door to our grandparents and then half a mile from them. Maw-Maw sat in the car line everyday to pick us up from school and then take us to buy a snack from Jr.’s gas station. We have watched her serve my grandfather and family through cooking countless meals all while having an immaculately clean house. There is a Bible that stays by her chair because she prioritizes her time with the Lord every morning. She never speaks a negative word against anyone and will quickly correct us if we dare talk unkind about someone. She always overlooks the faults of others and focuses on the positives. If we travel, she is going to pack each child a bag of snacks, give us a roll of paper towels, and worry until we arrive at our destination. There have been a lot of 4:00 coffee breaks,”Gazebo” talk, lunch dates, and shopping trips throughout the years, and we wouldn’t trade it for anything. She has been blessed to be involved in her 7 great-grandchildren lives on a daily basis! The Lord blessed us by allowing us to live beside them for the past five years! We know not to discipline our children in front of her because in her eyes they are perfect! Our kids adore Maw-Maw and Pops! Although we moved, we are grateful for technology! We are honored and proud to call her our Maw-Maw! We love her so much! Happy Birthday Maw-Maw!
