July 31st

We have loved working with this team!  They were very generous with Ravioli and Spaghetti-Os, and my girls loved receiving them.  Sweet Kortni even brought my girls some new outfits.  We are blessed!

There are certain moments where simply telling you what happened does not do justice.  One of those moments was on Saturday morning when the leaders from My Special Treasure school shared about their purpose and vision for the school.  People have invested in this faith-based, Christ-centered school and God is using them to make a difference.  Luis Sr., Luis Jr., and Fabiola are so grateful that God is using people to help these children spiritually, physically, and academically.  They have been relieved from some of the pressure of raising funds to pay for rent.  I found out today that Luis Jr. was sick last week and spent three days in the hospital.  He had an appointment with the doctor on Saturday to check his heart.  He said his heart is great, and he has slept very well for the past three nights!

Another moment was during the Sunday worship service when ten people prayed to accept Christ as their personal Lord and Savior.  Pray for these North Americans to continue to grow in their spiritual walk and to be faithful to the Lord.  Pray for Lazaro as he disciples the new believers in his church.  I am thankful for people who continue to pour into the spiritual lives of others.  You can’t put a price tag on it!

Danville Baptist is lucky to have a great guy like Brian Ellis as part of their church.  He is such a hard worker and he is always willing to serve!  We are impressed!
