Feels Like Family!

The past three weeks have been a whirlwind, but such refreshing weeks! Delmy, Ingrid, Chino, my girls, and I had an absolute wonderful time traveling through Alabama and Michigan to visit some churches and familiar faces.   We spent a lot of time in a car and in hotels, but we enjoyed every minute of it.

We love how Guatemala brings us together and creates a special bond with each person.  We enjoyed visiting the churches and sitting around the dinner table with friends who feel like family.   My girls realize the friendships we have with so many different people is one of the many advantages of our lives.   Again, thank you to each person who makes us feel like family!

Delmy and Ingrid spent several days at Grand Bay Middle School and Zeeland Christian School.  The administration and teachers were extremely kind and helpful to them.  They observed and learned a lot and are excited about sharing the information with the other teachers.  Thank you to these two schools for showing them kindness.

While we have been busy in the states, the mountain has been busy in Guatemala.  Celebrating Children’s Day.   Final Day of the School Year.   Youth Camp.   Food Distribution for Students.  The mountain has been buzzing and the staff does an absolute wonderful job at managing everything!

The highlight of my trip was celebrating my dad’s retirement after 36 years as pastor of Friendship Baptist Church! 36 years as pastor and 47 years on staff–Amazing!
