We are so grateful for the many relationships built over the past 25 years through Grace Ministries. Dr. Mike and Dottie Clark, founders of Casa Aleluya, have been dear friends to our family and ministry for more than 20 years. In the early days, we spent countless days serving at Casa Aleluya whether helping with construction or rocking babies.
About 12 years ago, Soy and I made the decision to move our family to Guatemala full-time. I can still vividly remember sitting in a booth at Ruby Tuesday in Escatawpa, Mississippi. My dad and I sat on one side, and Mike and Dottie Clark sat across from us. Soy and I were preparing to quit our jobs, leave family behind, and step into the unknown. We had the passion and the calling, but we also had a lot of questions and very little idea of what lay ahead.
Thankfully, God placed people in our lives who had already walked that road. Many years prior, Mike and Dottie loaded up their children and moved as full time missionaries to serve the children in Guatemala. Mike and Dottie shared both practical and spiritual guidance from their own journey as full-time missionaries. Even today, I often reflect on the advice they gave and the impact it has had on our lives.
Last week, our middle and high school students had the privilege of hearing Dr. Mike Clark speak during devotion. He shared from personal experience about finding value in Christ, living with purpose, and trusting in God’s faithfulness. Please pray that his words continue to resonate in the hearts of our students.
We are deeply grateful for God’s goodness through lasting friendships.
