I just looked back at my November blogs, and I quickly realized the updates have been very few! I promise we have been very busy and I will update everything within the next couple of weeks.
Last Wednesday, we landed at the Mobile airport around midnight. My girls are extremely excited about being able to spend time with grandparents and cousins. We enjoyed Saturday at the Alabama game with our family. We drove to Hartselle to visit my paternal grandparents on Saturday night. We only saw my grandfather for about 15 minutes due to him not feeling well.
On Sunday morning, I had the privilege of speaking at Grace Point Baptist Church where Bro. Jack Bailey serves as pastor. It was a good day, and we enjoyed the fellowship with Bro. Jack and Mrs. June. They are very encouraging to us.
After the service, a man approached me and explained that he coached basketball for Grand Bay High School (Mo Co) from 1965-1969! He began to name people he knew–Art Sessions, Andy Ross, Brenda Bryant… Small World. It became an even smaller world when he told me Clint Landry is the pastor of his daughter’s church.
On Sunday evening, we were able to attend the annual Luke 14 dinner with Danville Baptist Church. Joe David and Danville Baptist are faithful supporters of GRACE and SLAM. We always enjoy spending time with them.
About 7:30 last night, we loaded back into the car and headed to Grand Bay. Soy was gracious enough to travel through the night in order to allow us to drink coffee with my grandparents this morning.
