On Monday the teachers for Colegio JET began their first day of work. The beginning of school can be overwhelming, but the beginning of a new school, new kids, new curriculum, and a new building can be daunting. The teachers will spend their time planning and learning the curriculum. It is also a good time to begin the process of building unity among the teachers. We will all work closely together so unity is a must.
A huge “Thank You” to Denise Goodrum for teaching a small group reading lesson for all of the teachers. Technology is a good thing! Now, if she would only fly to Guatemala and do face-to-face training!
Our motto for the year is going to be “Whatever it Takes!” We will be willing to do whatever it takes to make sure the kids receive the best. Sunday night, Daisy and Telma did another home visit. Yesterday morning, they did another home visit at 6:30 am! We are now 100% finished with home visits (hopefully). I am grateful for their willingness to go the extra mile.
