The groups have been captivated by the stories leading up to the arrest of Jesus. Bro. Mark’s dramatization makes a strong connection with the children as he explained the last supper, the Garden of Gethsemane, and Peter’s denial of Jesus. He left the older group reflect and ponder the question, “Are there times when we deny Jesus in our lives?” The younger group enjoyed a mother telling of the stories leader to the arrest of Jesus.
Last year we introduced the kids to dyeing eggs and an Easter egg hunt. The more I tried to explain why painting and hiding eggs is normal, the stranger is sounded. This year the kids knew exactly what to do! They loved the dyeing and painting the eggs. They will participate in an egg hunt next week.
Luis shared the crucifixion of Jesus Christ with the kids today. He shared how Christ lived a sinless life and willingly laid down His life for us. He explained the importance of confessing our sin and choosing a personal relationship with Christ. Tomorrow, Telma will share the same with the younger kids.
