And He looked up and saw the rich putting their gifts into the treasury.  And He saw a poor widow putting in two small copper coins.  And He said, “Truly I say to you, this poor widow put in more than all of them;  for they all out of their surplus put into the offering; but she out of her poverty put in all that she had to live on.”

I love how Jesus was more interested in the heart of the widow instead of the amount given.  He knew she was being obedient and worshipped with her entire heart.  He knew how much the rich were giving, but he also knew how much they had in their bank accounts.  The widow knew God provides and He is faithful in His promises.

The month of January is so important as we focus on matching finances for the school up to $100,000!  On January 1st, a precious lady who is 80+ years knocked on our door.  She reached out and placed money in my hands for the school.  She explained that it wasn’t much but she didn’t want to miss the deadline for her money to be matched!  This past Sunday the 70+ women’s Sunday school class at Friendship took up an offering for the school.  They are so excited to have their funds matched!  In both of the cases, the women could’ve not listened to God tell them to invest in these children.  They could’ve justified living on a fixed income and needing the money for other purposes.  However, they know He provides!  They know He is faithful!   They are making eternal investments!

Out building is going to cost a $300,000!  It is a 6,000 square foot building costing $50 per foot.  This month you make a tax-deductible donation and your gift will be doubled!   You can buy 5, 10, 20 square feet and in reality you are buying 10, 20, 40 square feet!

The generous donor has even committed to matching pledges!  Any pledge made will be doubled!  You have until September 30th to pay your pledge.  A very sweet deal!
