Guatemala knows how to celebrate Holy Week. It equates to school being on break, people working only on Monday and Tuesday and lots of loud music. Yesterday we listened to loud Guatemalan-style hymns ALL day. They played until late Friday night and started again at 6:00 am on Saturday. Soy loved it!
The families at Grace Church enjoyed a bounce house, popcorn, cotton candy, snow cones, and two inflatable pools after church. The bounce house and cotton candy machine was purchased through donations provided to GRACE and SLAM. Thank you to each person who gave towards both ministries. You can only imagine the color of the water in those small inflatable pools after about 20 kids finished swimming in them. At least they went home clean!
Soy and I are sitting outside watching the Friendship Baptist choir’s Easter musical on facebook live. Technology has its perks!
