We celebrated Dr. Seuss’ birthday and February birthdays on Thursday and Friday. The kids listened to the books The Cat in the Hat and Green Eggs and Ham (in Spanish) and then made crafts. Overall, everything was smooth considering 55 kids ranging from age 3-12 years old. We loved watching the response when the kids first looked at the green scrambled egges. However, every child cleaned their plate and asked for seconds. I was trying to be “one-step” ahead by placing the cake on the table outside, but the dog managed to enjoy several bites of the cake (the cake was wrapped so we only lost a small part).
We celebrated the 8 February birthdays which is always fun for the kids. They like the special attention of blowing out the candles and receiving a gift.
