My favorites part of the past several weeks has been helping others. We have been able to continue helping single mothers, widows, elderly, and other ministries.
Many of you are probably familiar with Noe and Moises in Chirijuyú from years of house construction and food distributions . (Think about the strawberry fields) No outsiders are permitted to enter their community. However, we were able to meet Noe and Moises at the front entrance to deliver a little food for them. They will use their discretion to pass out the food the the families in the church and the community. There were 2 men, 2 women, 1 child, 2 motorcycles, and 300 pounds of food!
Adan, Walter, Shadya, and Telma continue to meet the needs of those in the community. One lady who the caregiver of her elderly mother and 2 disabled sisters received a bag of food. Her response was ” God is faithful! His fidelity has not lacked even one of our days!”
Will continue to pray for the owner of Las Antorches and his workers? Many of the teams have enjoyed a Sunday lunch at Las Antorches. Everyone has taken a picture in front of his water fountain with the flowers! With the borders closed, his restaurant is struggling to hang on. Obviously Antigua is a huge tourist town. Felipe has 14 workers that he is continuing to pay a little in hopes the borders will open soon.
If you have What’s App or email and you would like to send Felipe a simple message “Praying for you family” please let me know. I think it would be a great encouragement to his family and workers.
What are we doing this week? Passing out food! We are averaging about 150 families per week!
