We are amazed at how fast seven weeks in Guatemala flew by! We spent the summer with the goal of beginning to adjust our children to things of Guatemala, build relationships, and seeking opportunities for future ministries. We are always willing to do whatever it takes to meet the spiritual and physical needs and we want to be sensitive to the things God has called us to do. We were able to see some English Academies, provide food for the people of El Tejar dump, work at the Feeding Center, work with construction teams, teach English at local schools, and feed the children from the Chimaltenango dump.
Initially, we will use English academies as a tool to build relationships with the people of Guatemala. Our goal is to provide them with other opportunities in work by being able to speak English. Through teaching English, we will be able to share the Bible and the salvation of Jesus Christ. It is our prayer that English will serve as a tool to watch people grow in their relationship with Christ.
