There seems to be constant noise on Grace Mountain! This is a good thing!
It’s Friday night and I chose to sit at the basketball court while listening to all of the noise. I listened to the sound of basketball shoes run up and down the court. There were 10 young men from our school practicing basketball in hopes to win the next game. They are so proud to represent our ministry in a local league.
I listened to the men from our local and neighboring fire department yell and cheer as they played soccer. It was good to hear the laughter as they took a few minutes to enjoy life from away from a stressful job.
As I drove to the mission house, I heard the voices of the team as they excitedly arrived in Guatemala today. Guatemala is a second home for many of the people .
I pulled up to my house and I heard the sound of sewing machines. My garage has turned into a sewing factory. Mrs. Sandra and Mrs. Ann are working a late night as they make alterations to about forty formal dresses. Right now they are discussing the floral arrangements and cake for the wedding which will take place in the mountain tomorrow afternoon.
It is good to have so much noise!
