During the silence of the pandemic, it was very easy to feel forgotten. It seemed as if our family and friends were living life a lot more normal than us. We would do everything we could to serve during the day, but the nights were long and boring.
One Sunday night, our home church, Friendship Baptist, chose to have a time of prayer lifting us up to the Lord. Soy and I sat at the computer and watched online as people walked to the stage to pray specifically for us.
These were the people who had watched me grow up in the church. People who attended our wedding. People who served alongside us. People who celebrated all of our babies. People who sent us off to serve in Guatemala. People who had invested in our lives. People who loved us deeply.
We watched them lift their hands and ask God to fill us, protect us, walk along side us.
We took a picture. This picture was a reminder that we have people in the trenches with us. We have people lifting our arms when we are tired. A picture of the people who were in our spiritual corner.
One Picture—A sweet reminder that we are not alone!
