Each year we have a Quinceañera party for the girls who turn 15 years old. In this culture, the fifteenth birthday is a big celebration and we want all of our girls to feel special. Mike Clark, director of Casa Aleluya, always takes his 15 year old girls to Tikal Futura as a special way to celebrate. We love this idea as the girls enjoy shopping, swimming, and sleeping in a nice hotel. This year, we stole the idea from Mike Clark and brought our girls to Tikal Futura also.
This morning a group of 17 girls and 12 teachers loaded the bus and van and headed to the city. The girls were given spending money with the agreement that they had to buy something in the mall. They had a blast buying things from Forever 21, Bath and Body, etc. We checked in to the hotel at 3:00 and the girls were given make-up bags and shorts. Our night will consist of eating at a nice restaurant and swimming in the pool. The girls will enjoy the breakfast Buffett and some more swimming before heading home tomorrow.
Tomorrow we will have 18 different girls join us to celebrate their Quinceañera and everything will be repeated!
