“All my words fall short
I got nothing new
How could I express
All my gratitude?
So I throw up my hands
And praise You again and again
‘Cause all that I have is a hallelujah
Hallelujah
And I know it’s not much
But I’ve nothing else fit for a King
Except for a heart singing hallelujah
Hallelujah”
As I sat in the hospital room on Monday morning, I listened to this song over and over. On Monday night, our lives changed forever, and yet I feel so much gratitude.
I have so much gratitude for every single person who is interceding on our behalf. The messages and emails have been absolutely overwhelming.
I have gratitude for every person who honored Soy on Wednesday night. I am so proud to be his wife. My girls are so proud to be his daughters. I am so proud for people to hear about salvation found only through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
I have gratitude for our Guatemalan family who has wept with us, loved on us, and sat beside us.
I have gratitude for parents who have been by our side the entire time.
I have gratitude for a faithful, loving, gracious Heavenly Father. Over and over again, I can see the goodness of God in our lives. He is comforting us. He is carrying us. He is our strength. He is our hope. He is worthy of ALL of our praise.
“I’ve got one response
I’ve got just one move
With my arm stretched wide
I will worship You
So I throw up my hands
And praise You again and again
‘Cause all that I have is a hallelujah
Hallelujah
And I know it’s not much
But I’ve nothing else fit for a King
Except for a heart singing hallelujah
Hallelujah”
