(I wrote a blog on Monday morning to give a summary of our previous week. I did not hit the publish button! Better late than never…)
Last week…
There are not many people who will travel to Guatemala to sew 126 curtains and 24 bedspreads, but Mrs. Sandra Wilson thinks nothing of it! When I talk about Mrs. Sandra, the students and teachers have no idea who I am referring to. They all know her as “Nana” and they love her deeply! Making curtains for our classrooms have been on the to-do list since 2020! Not to mention that she baked a birthday cake, made coffee bags, made floral arrangements, bought and delivered food, and cooked for some hungry boys.
Ross Genzink traveled to Grace Mountain to take care of our plumbing to-do list. He cleaned water filters, replaced shower heads, installed sinks, etc. After the teams have worked all day then a hot shower is very nice! Ross and Genzink Plumbing have been very good to Grace Ministries!
Eddie, Teddie, and Johnny Maxwell came to visit Grace Mountain also! Why? I guess they were the supervisors of Ross and Sandra.
This week…
We are grateful to some of the men and women from North Carolina and Tennessee for serving in Guatemala. They are having VBS with kindergarten through fourth grade and the children are loving it!
They are building houses, food distribution, dinner with the teachers, pizza with the youth, and attending Iglesia JET also.
The students are counting down the days until the last day of school! We will finish on October 19th!
Pictures are on Grace Ministries Facebook Page!
