The past few weeks have been busy and good at the school, church, and mission house!
Right now, we have 45 people representing several churches serving alongside us in Guatemala.
This Grace trip has a lot of familiar faces and a lot of new faces!
The group is traveling about 1 1/2 hours away to build in a community. On Friday and Saturday they built and concreted 13 houses (I think). They will build 13 more by Wednesday.
They had food distributions for 200 families in the community where the houses are being built, and 200 families in our community.
They hosted a meal for some of the sponsored children and their families on Saturday night.
Bro. Neal Seaborn preached on Sunday morning followed by baptism at the local swim park. The team served lunch to more than 200 people after the baptism.
Yesterday, the group hosted a Quinceañera party for 5 of our students. This is always a big deal for the girls as they have beautiful dresses, hair, make-up, and professional pictures to celebrate the day.
Today, we will have another food distribution for the families at the school. We will go to the dump to provide lunch and food bags also.
The group will enjoy the afternoon shopping and eating in Antigua.
Tomorrow, about 20 of the team members will leave bright and early for a field trip! They will be the chaperones to the children in grades kindergarten through fourth grade at the zoo! The children are excited and the chaperones will exhausted tomorrow afternoon.
